October 1, 2017 - Time to drink up. The nose gives off faint rose petals with a tinge of musty earth. A swallow treats you to dry cherries and tobacco and finishes with loamy earth. A fine specimen from the great 2005 vintage, but must be drunk now!

    March 26, 2017 - Medium brick red.

N: Earth, leaves, pine, smoke, macerated cherry, meat

P: mushrooms, coffee, chocolate, cherries and leaves

F: long with lingering smoke and bittersweet chocolate

February 7, 2015 - Decanted for a couple hours in advance of taking to a dinner party. After 1 hour, it was pretty much ready to drink. Really lacking much aroma, but it was very soft and elegant with wonderful cherry flavors. This is much better than the last bottle a couple years ago (eliminating the negative aspects), but it hasn't really added the expected positive Pinot aspects. Leaves me wondering if this is as good as it gets. It's now very pleasant to drink now, but I was expecting more in the long term.

April 10, 2013 - Very nice Pinot, with some cherry, well balanced with an earthy finish.

December 20, 2012 - Decanted for a couple of hours. Cherry and animal aromas. These carry over to the palate. This is a very "dirty" cherry-flavored PN. Plenty of tannins and acidity to keep this going for many years. Too much animal and dirt for this pinot fan. If these flavors recede into the back ground a little more, my score will go up.
