July 28, 2018 - IPNC Weekend 2018; 7/26/2018-8/2/2018 (Linfield College, McMinnville, OR): Tasted. Very ripe, tastes more like RRV than Dundee. Maybe that's in part the vintage, but this thing is hot and presumably past.
October 30, 2016 - Dark cherries, some oak...candy. Soft, plush. Somewhat typical of the vintage. Not particularly my style, but delicious.
October 9, 2015 - Corked
July 20, 2015 - Poured through a filter after the cork broke, the nose was dark fruit and really full, the palate was plum, plucot and berries, very little spice, drank more like a malbec than a pinot noir, having said that it is ten years old, the finish was a little dry and on the short side. In its prime it was probably a 91 or 92.
September 30, 2011 - Corked
September 18, 2011 - Nose was muted and was a preview of the taste. This has lost most of its fruit and the dominate flavors were cinnamon with just a very slight dark fruit. This wine had been great but did not age really well. I have more bottles so time to drink those up.
December 26, 2010 - Drinking exceptionally well right now. Nice spice notes and really long finish, really nice wine.
December 26, 2010 - This is a BEAST. Huge for a pinot. Still not ready to drink. Let it breathe for three hours before it came around but it was pretty good.
October 21, 2009 - Drinking well now, the wine presents with a deep, nuanced nose showing raspberry fruit and smoke; the cola I noticed a year ago is gone in favor of more complexity and spice. The flavors here run to very ripe raspberry juice overlayed by tart acidity and with tannins to provide structure. Better than I thought last year.
October 19, 2009 - A big lush dark beauty. High-toned nose of blackberries with some hints of cinnamon and smoke. Palate finishes with an earthy note. Somewhat tannic. An Oregon pinot in the Kosta Browne style.
