December 23, 2015 - Another great bottle. Decanted 30 mins and drank with a roast pork tenderloin. Fantastic!

January 19, 2015 - PnVnD let air for 1hr. Classic claret color with clear youthful rim. Cedar cassis macerated cherry on the nose. Medium weight with powdery black tea tannins. Plum cherry cassis and herbal flavours. Ripe but restrained with youthful refreshing acidity. Nice with a rib eye. Holding up well not much on the mid palate and lacks that extra bit of complexity.

June 23, 2012 - Opened, not decanted for an hour before pouring and drinking with Steak. This is a food wine. On its own, rather simple, subdued fruit with tannins fully resolved - ok but boring. With the steak especially with the fat from the steak, the wine came alive. There was evident of sour cherries and a bit of tobacco and spice (though that might be from the pepper on the steak !). An mediocre 85-86pts without food but 88-89pts with the steak.

(Aiguilhe Querre) #2; COLOR-dark; TASTE-the ripeness & freshness of this fruit is obnoxious; extraordinarily lengthy finish; the '04 Vintage is giving immense pleasure now and will for the next 5 to 10 years; some black fruit flavors (suggests excellent ripeness); slight earthiness (starting to see just a hint of truffle, black olive & black pepper - these are just beginning which suggests this is still a really young wine); really firm tannins on the back-end; nice subtle Oak; incredibly pleasurable wine; better than the Justin and Franciscan that I've just tasted and liked; hints of leather & tobacco just starting on the tail end; this wine will rip your face off in 3-5 years-and for only $17; RP-87; GV-91+
