March 18, 2024 - Well made white blend with good acidity, weight and ripeness. Very aromatic and quite lively, showing a touch of bitterness towards the finish. 89-91

April 4, 2023 - Pale lemon colored with medium viscosity legs (13.5% ABV). The nose has peach, lemon, lime curd, papaya, pineapple, ginger, white flowers, orange blossom and grapefruit. Quite a layered set of aromas! The palate is dry with medium acidity and a medium body. The exotic and citrus aromas are confirmed on the palate with a touch of bitterness but no ginger. The florals are feint but present. I start to get lychee on the mid palate from the Gewürztraminer. This wine also blends in Sylvaner, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Muscat- the Noble grapes of Alsace. It is a refreshing yet multi-layered wine that has a crisp, medium length finish. It will go beautifully with our garlic Scampi but I would also pair it with salads, grilled salmon or some charcoal chicken. It's well worth the $15 price point and gets 90 points and 5 stars from me. Stock up for summer y'all.

February 16, 2023 - Interesting and enjoyable blend of all six Alsace white grapes, complex and refreshing, aromatic, and with a long citrus finish.

February 2, 2023 - Always a pleasure to drink. Balanced, fragrant. It's very similar to a Viognier on day 2.

December 17, 2022 - Clear pale straw color. Lime, green apple, and mineral nose. It's fruity, dry, but also had a spiciness that added complexity. This paired well with sushi and chicken sausages. Overall, a very solid value.

November 11, 2022 - (Imported by Wildman). Website says: 50% Sylvaner & Pinot Blanc, 15% Gewurztraminer, 22% Pinot Gris, 7% Riesling, 6% Muscat. There are many great producers in Alsace. Hugel is one of the oldest (since 1639) and the quality of their wines has never been better. They make beautiful dry white wines.
    ___________

    Color: Light straw.

Nose: Floral, perfumey, intense aromas of white flowers, citrus, lemon quartz, and minerals. With a definite kiss of spiciness coming from the Gewurtz and the Muscat. Beautiful crystaline purity.

Palate: Medium body. Light, fresh, crisp, and totally dry. Terrific energy in this wine right now. Finishes sl phenolic. 13.5% alc.

2019 is an excellent vintage in Alsace. This is a delicious (and affordable) Alsatian blend. Wonderful with pork, chicken, and fish dishes.

    Best drinking: 2022 - 2024.
A terrific value in authentic Alsatian wine at $15-16 USD.
I found it for $11.99 at K&L wine merchant (online)!
