March 5, 2024 - Showing great after 3 days open. Beautiful bouquet of red cherries, fresh raspberries and grapefruit. Palate reveals juicy, red fruits expressed with clarity and acidic lift. A long orange/grapefruit juice finish runs for a full minute after swallowing.

Those that enjoy vibrant red fruit contrasted with waxy citrus peel oil texture would love how this shows on day 3.

March 4, 2023 - Blood orange and bright red fruit. This is a really well done MR that will no doubt only improve with age.

October 11, 2022 - The Monte Rosso spice is there, but hidden a bit by the acidity and tannins. Having had many Monte Rosso’s over the years, suggest not touching these for at least 3-5 more years.
Right now it’s tart cranberry, apple core, cedar and evident tannins.
With air, becomes more and more undrinkable. Definitely HOLD.

Day 3 edit. Tannins are starting to subside. Noticeably more complex than the ‘21 OVZ we are tasting side by side. I think this will hold into day 4 or 5. Will check back.
Day 5 edit. The wine has softened and is filled with Monte Rosso spice. Day 5 is the best the wine has tasted so far. You’d never know the wine has been open 5 days.
This vintage I bet will go 20 years+.

August 21, 2022 - painful even with a few hours decant. needed overnight. high acid. young and vibrant sums this up perfectly at this point.

it hides the abv amazingly. delicious but rather one-dimensional and closed on the nose now. obviously needs/DESERVES time. special shit... if only I had more cellar space
