August 2, 2023 - Great aromatics of dark red and black fruit, mocha and some herbal undertones Rich and full bodied, continued to open up in the glass to reveal bright red cherry and a hint of Concord grape Great finish - much better than I expected !
July 20, 2023 - Dark blue fruit, a bit of cocoa but not as much as with other Bookwalter wines in previous years. Menthol. Long finish, smooth tannins, and wonderfully dry.
May 28, 2023 - Blueberries and cocoa. Then blackberries on the finish. Tannins are smooth . Solidly paired with a beef filet on this holiday evening.

February 8, 2022 - "Settle down, Beavis!" This wine nervously mutters in reply, "Heh, heh. Heh, heh!" Noticeably smoother than our last bottle, but even with another two years in time out it may never make the honor roll.
November 13, 2021 - What this wine lacks in balance it makes up in pizzazz. Spice! Cocoa! Blueberry! Blackberry! Biff! Wazoo! A clown car full of fun.
