March 2, 2024 - Still young, hold for 1-2 years.

October 27, 2023 - My first experience with this wine and a nice trip down memory lane when I used to drink a lot of Oregon Pinot. This was very interesting as it was fairly thin and a bit reticent upon opening. In the glass it gained weight and depth. Fascinating flavors intermixed. Ripeness, candied cherry, with floral and spice notes. Balances an elegance with amazingly diverse flavors. As noted, it continued to gain even more depth, however I could not show restraint in waiting too long to finish the bottle.

July 10, 2023 - And this is how I know Eola-Amity Hills can taste. Med Ruby in glass this was surprisingly restrained for the first 45+ min of slow ox in bottle until poof, violets and red berries and vanilla magically appeared. Layers of fruit and spice. Vanilla, baking spices, garden spices, cardamom, wintergreen.
I think this whole cluster fermentation, oak treatments and layered fruit is only possibly with the flavor intensity that I consistently find in the Lingua Franca estate and these premium single vineyards. 2019 has been such a consistently good vintage although I don’t know how they’ll mature in bottle as I drink them every chance I get.

June 1, 2023 - Pink rim, cloudy dark ruby. Redcurrant, cherry, raspberry, cotton candy, vanilla, smoked bacon, cedar and spices. Medium high acidity, medium high tannin, medium alcohol and medium bodied. Texture has grip. Long pink grapefruit finish.

Wine was flat upon opening. After an hour of breathing withoit decanting, wine opened up and layers appeared. This wine needed to remain slightly chilled in order to maintain focus.

May 17, 2023 - This is a surprisingly fun pinot that is hard to peg. We sipped over two days of travel. Moved more than a military kid, but we loved every phase, especially day 2. This is a vino muy bueno that reps Eola Amity Hills well.
