March 3, 2024 - Compared to the bottle I had a year ago it's not evolving or improving. It never really approached a $50 Brunello anyway, more like a solid CC or CCR, so time to drink these.

Cork is perfect and floral tones are beautiful
Wonderful juicy first sip a little tight with dark fruit tones
Nice viscosity
Second sip at 7- opening up nicely I will definitely buy again
1 hour in - still a little tight now some oak notes along with fruit.

January 6, 2023 - Nice after decanting of 40 mins +. Good acidity with tart cherry. Paired well with Orzo bolognese and sauteed veggies.

Though not as impressed as I was with the first bottle last Oct., this is really solid. More like a Chianti Classico (Riserva). Great Sangiovese typicity with ripeness and depth, well balanced. Full flavored but still a nice fit at the table, this bottle going well with a mushroom red sauce pasta dish.
14.5% abv, no alcohol heat detected
March 3, 2022 - Nice structure, tannins and acidity, earthiness but quite light. If the intensity was amped up 2-3x this would be a very nice bottle indeed and a great buy. But it's not, still a very easy and accessible wine, good weekday drinker to gulp down with pigs in a blanket.
Better on day two, upgrade the meal to homemade meatloaf with green peas.

Light, thin color
Nose: blueberry, blackberry
Flavor: black pepper, red and green pepper, bright acidity, subtle spices
Good wine but too light for spaghetti. Closer to Pinot noir in food pairing

January 27, 2022 - Nice wine at $20. Black and red fruits, decent tannins, good acidity. Not a show stopper of a Brunello but good WORK for fans of Sangiovese.
