December 20, 2023 - Work wine club, universally liked. Not your typical Chenin Blanc, very long finish, full on grapefruit and citrus. Slight waxy feel to it.

May 22, 2022 - Cape Cru South Africa Tasting (Zuiderkerk, Amsterdam): Just outright spectacular! From all the South African wines tasted today (including the wines from Sadie, David & Nadia, Mullineux etc) this was my favorite (closely followed by Skurfberg from Sadie). November 15, 2021 - Chris Alheit is just an all-around cool & humble guy. What he does with his Chenin though is off the damn hook. This guy's life is literally Chenin, that's all he produces, 8 labels of it - sometimes monovarietal, other times in blends. Besides Cartology, Magnetic North is another stellar edition that can comfortably be placed in the SA hall of fame already.
Amazing & unique nose. The first thing I smell is freshly trimmed bud, can it get better than that? Then opens up to aromas of grapefruit, mountain tea, green melon, orange. Just a nose that you can be intoxicated by for hours. Medium-bodied with lovely texture, full flavor concentration and striking acidity. An explosion in the mouth. Long, mineral/floral finish.
