Community Tasting Notes 11

  • Claret & CdP Gang Likes this wine: 91 points

June 24, 2023 - Refined & elegant on both aromatics & palate, rich, fine tannins, so easy to drink, crowd favourite

February 5, 2023 - A surprising amount of bricking or color disintegration at this young age. It comes across as very young with a traditional Barbera fruit profile but it was disjointed and tannins with too many rough edges. Not sure this wine will ever sniff 90 points. I'll stick with their Barolos.

January 13, 2023 - A VERY ripe and rich style here for sure, very warm with dense cherry liqueur and whatnot, but really delicious and it feels deliberate and balanced. It's also just so forward and expressive, charging right out of the gate right on the pop and pour. Little touches of leather and earth, but 90% about that sun baked cherry. Almost felt like a mini Brunello in that way.

    December 19, 2022 - Appearance
    Medium intensity
    Ruby in color

    On the Nose
    Medium Intensity
    Black cherry, black plum, vanilla

    On the Palate
Off dry, medium + acidity, low + tannins, high alcohol, medium full body, medium finish,
Flavors of cranberry, blackberry, black plum, raspberry, vanilla, leather.

    Final Thoughts
Very good. Easy drinking and will definitely pick up another bottle.

November 8, 2022 - PnP, 14,5% Alc., bright medium garnet color.

    Nose: Red cherries.

Palate: Charming, pleasant sweetness, red cherry flavors, earthy notes, good structure. Nice to drink with Pasta on a workday evening, 22 Euros in Germany.
