October 31, 2023 - A solid wine. Great QPR (the proceeding vintage does increase a few dollars). Bone dry. medium finish.
April 30, 2023 - A good Rioja Reserva at a surprising low price. Medium+ body. Dark mellow fruit on the nose and pallet. Prominent tannins extended the finish.
March 11, 2023 - Black cherry, oats, earth and good tannin. Pretty straightforward Rioja. A little anise too.
February 12, 2023 - Classic Reserve Rioja. Firm tannic backbone. Will age well. Great value,
December 11, 2022 - Excellent value Reserva Rioja. Notes of black cherry, toasted oats, anise, volcanic rock and a hint of vanilla. Amazing creamy texture, rich red and black fruit on the palate, with a strong streak of salinity and a hint of vanilla.
July 11, 2022 - Deep ruby red colour, almost opaque, with red brim. Nose is developed, fruity, with oak character and notes of cherries, vanilla, plums, spices, mulberries and a touch of licorice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied plus, with smooth tannins, nice acidity and notes of cherries, vanilla, cinnamon, black currants and some licorice in the long finish.
Classic style of Rioja here, with great fruit and lots of pleasure.
June 4, 2022 - Similar in description to what you’ll read about the 2015 vintage. In other words: excellent. Everything you want and expect in a Rioja.
