  January 11, 2012 - Gave it time. First sip through 3 hours. Just not there. Initial hints of dark fruit and tobacco, with some alcohol sharpness. Taste strong tannins initially, that did not fade appreciably as it drank. Nose faded after a couple o hours. Could be this just wasn't meant for cellaring

  April 3, 2008 - After the disappointing syrah I was pleasantly surprised with this cab. Looking forward to the Maximus. Agree with cherries on the nose. Not that hot - alcohol seems in balance. Nice berries, a little earthy/leathery?

  November 27, 2007 - Popped and poured. Cherries on the nose but not a lot else. First sip was red berries with still a little cherry as well. Felt a little too hot but not dramatically so. Definite picking up the white pepper mixed in there which continues into the finish. Will taste again tomorrow and see if it is the same. So far, I am enjoying it and its a reasonable QPR as part of the woot package.
