November 21, 2011 - Black cherry and autumn spices on the nose. Dark fruit forward with a somewhat hollow midpalate. Finish kicks in with acitity and smooth tannin. Drinking well but seems to be starting its decline. I'd bet by 2013 it's done.

November 5, 2010 - Pop and pour. This bottle has some obvious age on it, for this particular blend. Much less fruit evident, but the secondary flavors of earth, tobacco and bramble are at the forefront. Fruit is cherry and a bit of plum but not huge flavors at all.

May 5, 2010 - Day 1 this was screaming blackberry and pepper. By Day 3, plum had become the dominant flavor, with just a bit of stewed fruit in there to let me know that Day 4 was NOT going to be pleasant. The black pepper notes remained throughout.

November 7, 2009 - Notes from day 2. Dark red to purple color. Nose of vanilla, stewed black fruit, a little earth. On the palate there was black cherry, eucalyptus, spice, with a good amount of oak and vanilla showing. The finish is below average in length and a little bitter toward the end. Should have consumed on day 1. Drink. 50+5+10+15+6

June 4, 2009 - Pop-n-pour. Not as appealing as last time I sampled this. Perhaps in need of a decant? Sweet fruit, earth, tobacco, but some bitterness on the finish I don't recall from previous tastings. Capping and putting away until tomorrow.

June 4, 2009 - Tasted over four hours. Red fruit and black cherry with pepper on the nose. Soft and round on the palate with a peppery menthol kick on a lingering finish. Easy to quaff, but short of outstanding in my view.

February 1, 2009 - Decanted for an hour. Lucious dark fruit that is smooth, with rich flavors and a long pleasing finish. Complemented steak very well.

January 31, 2009 - This Wash GSM was very Dark Inky almost purple in tone. Very opaque. The nose was very spicy upon open. Hour in the decanter, and it opened up alot! It's a very complex GSM with some cinn, all-spice, cloves action on top of the Red and Black berry fruit core. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, but the finish was strong and long in duration. This was a very nice comparison to a Auzzie GSM. I think Owen Roe is a great contrast to those fruit bombs! Give it a try!
