Critic tasting note: "With just a few months to go before it hits 90 years of age, this is a stunner! The silky, sexy textures are still there. You can enjoy the remnants of ripe, sweet, cherry and red plums, along with the truffle, tobacco and smoky nuances. Speechless this was on the table. 97 Points" - 97/100, Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider

1929 was considered the vintage of the century for several decades. This scorching year and a historic drought offered grapes of unparalleled richness in the twentieth century. The yields were exceptionally low with only 7.6 hectoliters / hectare. Cheval Blanc 1929 is the wine with the highest alcohol content of the 20th century.

Great sweetness and great sweetness on the nose. In the mouth, the impression of sweetness is even greater. The silkiness and delicacy of this wine, on remarkable aromas of cedar, give way to a finish of interminable length dominated by aromas of violet cream and blackcurrant. 15th April 2010

A fantastic year to finish the decade with. Bordeaux enjoyed another brilliant year, one of the driest on record, and produced wines known more for their delicacy than tannin, unlike the previous vintage. Châteaux like Haut-Brion performed exceptionally well, but all appellations delivered. Sauternes was also excellent, howe...
