Community Tasting Notes 1

August 11, 2022 - Tasted after a one hour decant.
Dark ruby in colour with aromas of sweet black fruit, black liquorice, faint oak & herbal.
On the palate, full bodied tart black fruit, blackberry/boysenberry/cassis, slightly herbaceous, well integrated oak as cedar, high acidity, high slightly angular tannins with a long finish to pepper & a chalky minerality.
This wine is young & somewhat aggressive, with a definite backbone to cellar.
