January 25, 2023 - Amazing! Bright as ever. Cherry jolly rancher, the c.f. and merlot were extremely complimentary. We tasted this along side the 2008, and this was far superior. Full bodied, long finish. Drink or hold.

December 18, 2022 - Continue to recommend a lot of air time to allow the wine to settle.

September 26, 2020 - PnP a small sip. Very good and ready to go. Lovely notes of umami roasted pepper, dark fruits. Decanted in wide bottom decanter for about 6 hours. Still going strong. Maybe slightly disjointed near the end of the evening, but generally a lovely wine that went well with a beef roast and duck fat potatoes. I do think these wines will last a while. So going to save my two remaining bottles for maybe 3 and 5 years hence.

February 29, 2020 - Sent directly from winery's library in 2018. Opaque garnet, no hint of brown. Pronounced herbal (rosemary, sage, thyme) sweet aromas, totally different from the roasted meat, smoky style of their syrahs. Full-bodied but beautifully balanced and smooth, still loads of fruit. Late palate, back of the tongue, flavors of dark berries and licorice that flow into a very long aftertaste. Wonderful now, went very well with gumbo...will easily keep five or more years.

August 17, 2019 - This wine had a lot going on. Tons of camphor that rode the line of being over the top.
Tannin was fully resolved. Silky smooth finish. Veggies galore as well. For me, was just a touch too medicinal
