Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Julian Marshall Likes this wine: 88 points

September 8, 2021 - The nose is fresh and attractive, full of orange leaf and apples. The attack is along the same lines, very brisk and crisp, citrus fruits followed by apples and pears, with just a hint of honey on the finish. It's crisper than I expected with only a little richness mid-palate. There's no question - this is a very pleasant wine - the only problem is that at this price level (or slightly less), there are a lot of other better Loire whites.
So unless the next bottle shows considerably more complexity, I will enjoy my remaining ones but not go back for more.
