December 15, 2022 - Deep, dark reddish-purple in color, bordering on opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, spices, graphite, herbs, cocoa, minerals, tobacco leaf & a oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & dark plums with herbs, spices, minerals, cocoa & oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should continue to develop further with additional & much needed aging. A blend of 41% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon & 23% Cabernet Franc.
