March 13, 2022 - Helluva lot of serious wine in here for thirty bucks. Apparently it's a blend of a quarter each grenache, syrah, mourvedre, and carignane though the grenache is dominant with that bold kirsch flavor. That's a flavor that usually leaves me somewhere between indifferent and recoiling, but something about this one me over. Once it gets past that initial impression of sweet, saucy fruit, it gets into a more robust form, showing a solid core and some wonderfully refined cashmere tannin, way too sophisticated for a country wine.
