November 2, 2013 - Notes of blood, red pepper, and dark cherry on the nose. Blueberry, black cherry, blackberry, white pepper, and hints of beef and blood. Wonderful effort. Extraordinarily well-balanced. Drinking great right now. Will last for several more years, but drink up---why wait. 93-94

February 25, 2012 - Tasted non-blind at dinner. Bottle was opened 2 hours prior to tasting. Nice nose with floral elements, red fruit and a hint of leather. More of the same on the palate, the floral notes are really enjoyable. Very long and consistent finish. Seems to drinking very well right now- the oak is mostly integrated and the tannins are still there but plenty resolved. Great effort!!

January 15, 2012 - Dark ruby red. Medium to full bodied. The nose was jumping out of the bottle almost immediately. Red raspberry and perfumed floral aromatics along with Asian spice. This is in a great drinking window right now, as it is showy and confident. Spiced dark cherry notes on the initial sip which envelop the entire palate in a round and delicious manner. This gains weight and opulence with air, but a firm acidic cut keeps everything in balance. Some cinnamon peeks in on the back of the palate, and there are firm tannins that linger through the finish. Still has a future, but drinking very well right now.

January 8, 2011 - Picked this up from WO's Library Sale last year. Popped and poured, and, unlike many WO which need some aeration to rev up, this one is a beaut right from the start. Deep ruby color, piercing aroma of strawberry, spice, and a touch of oak. The palate is darn near seamless, with a focused ribbon of succulent cherry fruit right down the middle, just a light touch of fine tannin, and that great spice note all throughout. This could be consumed now without regret, or held for I don't know how long...should stay strong for years given this showing.

August 30, 2010 - Absolutely stunning right now. Popped poured and drank over 2 hours. Ruby red in color. Showing great dark fruits, cherries, forest floor, and spice. All follows through with a lush feel and finish. Great balance.
