January 14, 2022 - Hello friend! I had something to celebrate today, and Ultramarine is so reliably vibrant and wonderful for my palate that this was an easy choice.

The 2017 is consistent with prior vintages in all the ways that matter to me - high acid, bright raspberry fruit and florals… the rose is, to me, always friendly early and having recently revisited the early years (2010, 2011, and 2011 late disgorged) I have a preference for these while they’re young (I feel the opposite about the BDB, with BDN in between the two extreme preferences).

If you have multiples, don’t be afraid to try early. For my palate, that’s the move.

January 3, 2022 - This was drinking very well on NYE. Bright and acidic with good fruit.
