May 6, 2024 - Initially popped and poured, but this wine needed some time and air. After 90 minutes, it started to open up. 58 F. Blackberry fruit, smokey vanilla, dark chocolate and rhubarb on the nose. Deep teeth-staining ruby color. Velvety tannins that gradually moved towards silky with time, alcohol well-integrated. Oak still needs time. Medium + body. Low acidity. Plum, blackberry, black tea, cinnamon on the palate. Drying finish was a bit short. Have to think this will develop a bit more complexity with age.

April 26, 2024 - The king of all grapes is on full display here,
Lush ripe fruit with a hint of oak, good structure front to back.
    Drink now thru 2028

April 13, 2024 - Deep, dark reddish-purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, boysenberries & dark plums with overtones of earthy/dusty notes, mint, cocoa, herbs, spices & oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth texture, plush, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, boysenberries & plums with spices, herbs, minerals & vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging.

December 14, 2023 - Full flavored Napa Merlot with enough structure in the back end to keep this interesting.
    Needs time

December 13, 2023 - Smells a little like popcorn. Rich and full and round. Soft but not overly so on the palate. Just a touch green on the nose.

December 12, 2023 - PNP. Deep dark ruby magenta color. Blackberry, plum, and milk-soaked graham cracker. Dry, dusty palate. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.

I’m never expecting to enjoy these as much as I do. It’s like lifted Caymus (more elegant and nuanced). Just a touch extracted.

November 21, 2023 - This is a good wine, easy to drink. Lighter than I expected. I think the price is a touch high for what you're getting, but still enjoy it.

    November 19, 2023 - Boysenberry Jam
    & Nutmeg
Beautiful nose of boysenberry jam, cherry, nutmeg, cardamom, and cocoa. The palate has great depth of flavors of red cherries, and dried herbs.

October 27, 2023 - Ordered a CS, they brought a Merlot. Not the right place to make a stink. Typical NV Merlot, nothing special, fresh roses, chocolate covered cherries, still somewhat tannic with a chalky pucker on the finish. PnP and went fast at the table. Not good enough—I switched to bourbon.

September 23, 2023 - An excellent full-body Merlot with lots of yummy fruit forward and a very smooth finish! Really good! Perhaps on the the top 5 Napa Merlots?
