January 7, 2022 - 80% merlot, 20% cabernet sauvignon. Very cool climate nose: Pyrazines, smoke, and raspberries. Overall the nose is quite savory, but the palate is more fruit forward, heavy on the plum and raspberry. Medium minus tannin, so the structure is coming from the acid. Overall a very respectable FLX version of a left bank Bordeaux. This will improve with probably 3-5 years, but almost certainly beyond that.
