    July 13, 2017 - Forever young!
Autumn leaves and only a light sous Bois intermixed with red and some darker fruits. A bit rustic with good mid palate intensity, youthful for what it is. When you think Village won't be able to age for decade, you have not encounter one.

July 13, 2017 - This was so alive! Kept throwing off scents of violets, mushrooms, sous bois through the evening. Dusty red-fruits (towards the darker spectrum) with excellent freshness on the palate. Very nice for a 29-yr old village!

January 20, 2013 - Easily waited too long to enjoy this. Light fruit evident but clearly had been a better wine in years past. Traditional dusty funk cast over each sip. Was definitely drinkable, but definitely well beyond peak.

June 5, 2012 - Comte de Vogue Dinner with Jean-Luc Pepin (Les Nomades, Chicago IL): Open for roughly 3 hours before trying. An attractive mix of red fruit and floral on the nose with some crushed stone. Firm red fruit on the palate with moderate intensity. Slightly drying on the finish. Pretty, but not great.
