March 31, 2015 - Brought to CT SEA tasting to pair with dinner. Still showed young, and was surprisingly jammy and floral given the proportion of cab. Was enjoyable but did not knock my socks off.

August 20, 2013 - Dinner for Neil and Sue. Paired with an 01 Chaleur which was a very good wine with more brooding weight, but this Soos was brighter and impressively spicier (think: Musar-ish)--a wine at it's true optimum drinking moment, and it won my heart.

December 19, 2010 - Deep red color with a nose of red fruits and smoke. Still holding up well. Cherry and plum flavors mixed with some smokiness. This wine is thicker than I remembered, but well balanced with a smooth finish.

October 4, 2009 - A little more muted than my previous bottle, but still holding up nicely. Dark red color. Nice blend with cherry, plums and smoke flavors. The wine is well balanced and finishes smoothly. Drink now.

November 23, 2007 - This wine has evolved quite a bit. maybe heading on the down side(not sure) but was quite enjoyable over thanksgiving. The fruit mellowed nicely and developed a leather and tobacco element with a touch of raison that was intergrated nicely with the fruit. Silky and pure in the mouth with and nice finish although some what short. 2 bottles left and will be interested to see in a year or two what happens here.

July 16, 2007 - Deep dark red color. Nice blend with cherry, plums and smoke in the nose. Full bodied with some modest tannins giving the cherry and plum friut flavors a nice balance. The wine finishes smoothly and has some life left. I would drink now or hold.

May 28, 2007 - This was a very tasty wine, just not very memorable. Really juicy and sweet, yet nicely mellow with age, this had absolutely nothing wrong with it - lots of sweet cherry and plum fruit on the nose and palate, some notes of herbs really well balanced and complex, just lacking the "wow" factor.

May 6, 2006 - Nice purple colour. Good nose with earthy notes and cherries. Nice integration of fruit, softened tannins and leathery notes. Good body. A touch of thick sweetness was a slight minus, but was a happy match with my burger. Good finish with mocha elements, a lingering creaminess. Showed exactly what I expected and predicted from 18 mos ago.
