Community Tasting Notes 5

August 28, 2022 - As mentioned, needed 1-2 hours slow ox - found it undrinkable out of the bottle. Opened up a bit with a subtle but pleasant cherry nose. Not much complexity. Evened out further on the second night. Curious to see if it develops.

December 23, 2021 - Out of the bottle was not a pleasant experience. After a 2 hour decant the rough edges smoothed out with a variety of floral notes followed by a smooth and lingering finish. Great QPR. Will cellar 5 years before opening another bottle.

December 23, 2021 - A delightful quaff with nice bright red fruits nicely balanced with taut acidity and minerality…certainly not complex but the singular note rings true…
Not as cheap at Costco $24 as the gentleman who bought at carrefour but
it’s a nice QPR..beats many USA pinots at the price…

November 27, 2021 - The first decent bottle of cheap burgundy I've had so far. Some depth and complexity to the abundant fruit, but with freshness and balance.
Unbelievable value from Carrefour at €8.99. I wish I'd bought more.

November 1, 2021 - 1 hour slow ox. Nose: While tight and youthful aromas of potpourri and earthiness show. Palate: Tight acidity with bright red fruits, earth, assorted minerals and a clean finish. While not the cheapest Hautes-Cotes de Beaune this shows well in its youth. Next bottle will see a long decant before enjoyment but all the components are there for a good QPR Burg play. For now 88+ points w/ lots of upside.

Day 2 Addendum ~ Wow this is still somewhat primary but has opened up with greater floral and mineral aspects. Now 89+ points.
