March 3, 2024 - If you're going to spend only $60 on American Cabernet then this is one of your best options. I will wait another few years before popping another.

September 9, 2023 - Opened, poured and let sit about 45 min. Then: Nose maybe some reddish fruit. Taste is reddish fruit, maybe a little sweetness, but maybe on the low side intensity; soft mouthfeel; tannins and acidity not an issue. Definitely lacking cab profile, or any other profile. Towards the end of the glass (about 30+ min from first sip), tannins surface and become noticeable, but not really a problem. Easy to drink, but disappointed in this bottle; expected more from Bedrock and Monte Rosso fruit. At this point, this tastes like a generic red wine; nothing interesting and nothing to distinguish it.
Curious what Day 2 would be like: Pretty much the same, except tannins that surfaced at the end of the glass not present here; maybe even a bit smoother; fruit still in the background. Still disappointing.

    March 12, 2021 - Wow -- complex mountain fruit.

August 16, 2020 - Pours dark. Decanted an hour, drank with friends. A dark, somewhat brooding nose of blackberries, violets, black cherries, anise, and black pepper. On the palate there is blue and black fruit, fine and gentle tannin.

It's obviously early and and there are many years to go here. But this is drinking very nicely now with a decent. Probably 5+ years of improvement here and 10+ years of good drinking! Very happy there are three more in my cellar.
