April 3, 2024 - 13% medium paleish red core, some orange on the rim. Sweetish on the nose, faint soy sauce that seems to blow off. Faint sherry like notes, but otherwise good strawberry and red cherry on the nose and tongue. Lifted fruit with more swirling. Tannins fully integrated but acidity keeps this fresh tasting. Drinking well. Very nice. Stored temperature controlled since purchase in 2006 from Galeries Lafayette (cost only €55 back then).

September 7, 2022 - Drinking very well. I like the high acidity approach that keeps the wine very fresh indeed. Vintage fruit quality is good; not a strong wine but enjoyable. 92-93

May 9, 2020 - Color is a murky dark rust. Drank over two days. Nose was more wildflower on day one and by day two not much left. Both days, wine was solid. Earthy and still tannic, but very little fruit left. A little too much sourness though that dissipated into a rather strong finish. Wine was purchased at auction so I don’t know how it was stored. If this bottle was typical it is past prime though based on other notes perhaps well maintained bottles will last longer.

July 23, 2019 - Amazing. wonderful balance, great finish, lovely notes. This wine is finally arriving and it is absolutely delicious. Opened and poured and it was the the wine of the meal.

June 22, 2019 - HDH auction at Spiaggia; 6/20/2019-6/22/2019 (Chicago, IL): Showing brilliantly. The nose has classic mature Burgundy flavours with an earthiness that speaks, at least to me, very truly of the Clos Vougeot plot. There's a massive amount of tannin here still and the structure is quite broad-shouldered. I'm not sure this has enough fruit to last until the structure resolves but for drinking now this is plenty good.
