August 9, 2015 - Lots of wines for a 25/50 Party (Lori & Mike's 25/50 Party): Wow, was this bottle drinking well. Even my wife who doesn't like Bojo thought this was good. Bought on release for about $15. Pnp. Ruby in color. The nose shows cherries, some cranberries and a bit of floral notes. On the palate, smooth and balanced. drinking really easily. Great cherry fruit with layers of complexity. great acidity. Wonderful texture. Glad to have a couple left, hope they all show this well.

November 1, 2012 - Bit past prime, so thin and red but nice structure still

October 23, 2012 - I've never really caught on to this wine. It has always, to me, seemed fairly subdued and dull. There's a bit of crushed, bitter cherry fruit on the palate but that is pretty much all I get out of this wine. There is none of those flavors from the soil one finds in Lapierre and Foillard for example. Uninteresting at best.

May 30, 2009 - A wraith of smoke and gamay berry, same reflected in mouth, great thrust, balance, everything you would want. Whoa, what a wine.

May 21, 2009 - The tannins have softened a bit in the last year and this wine is drinking nicely now. Bright, sappy, red garden fruit combined with excellent acidity and minerality. Needs to be served slightly chilled. Excellent summer wine.

November 11, 2008 - Had a taste from a bottle open 5 days. Pleasing, generous aromas of sweet, ripe cherry juice, floral, licorice. Straightforward, with lots of very ripe cherry fruit, a bit of spice and plenty of juicy acids. Vissoux tends to push my personal limits on ripeness, and this was no exception. But I was glad to finally have a positive experience with this wine, and was surprised it deftly handled so many days in the fridge.

November 5, 2008 - Nice wine. Lighter in color with a nose of fresh red fruit. Fairly light on the palate with short finish. Not terribly complex, but very pleasant.

Put under gas and kept at cellar temperature overnight. The 2nd night, very similar but perhaps a bit more open. Again, a really nice wine and a great value: if I was served this, I could be convinced it was a nice Cote de Beaune.

September 23, 2008 - I thought this was fantastic for the money. Reticent aromas of cherry, berry, and some chalk. Flavors are pure, juicy bing cherry with an earthy undertow and some mineral notes in the finish, which is slightly drying. Reasonably complex for a gamay, this was very drinkable and should still have a few years left in it.
