December 2, 2023 - Silky smooth tannins. Crushed rock, subtle dark cherry, a little bit of a cola thing at the end. Good stuff!

November 29, 2023 - Definitely a Burg ringer, moreso than other German PNs I've had. Intensely aromatic on initial pour--distinct red and black fruit notes, damp earth, some citrus peel were easily identifiable from a few feet away from the glass. Picked up some spice notes on closer inspection. Initially very silky tannins and seamless on the palate. Did seem to pick up a bit of tannin and shut down just a bit with a bit of air. Should benefit from some more time in the bottle.

April 21, 2023 - Wouldn't be an easy one to tell apart from a Burgundy. It's Savigny-like with a lot of crushed-gravel sensations and a correspondingly grainy texture, in twilight blue-gray tones where those berries meet rock. A little bit on the austere side, but it's got personality.

March 16, 2023 - More ripe and forthright, and thankfully clean. Full ripe red fruit, soft on the entry with a good clip on the back.

January 29, 2023 - Serious business here. Treading the line between red and black fruit on the nose. Deep and coiled on the palate. Benefits from air in the glass. A little bit of tannin makes its presence known on the finish. Not a shame to open now but it does much better with food. Check back in a few years.

December 27, 2022 - Needs at least an hour of air, then it's pretty dark fruits and crunchy acidity. Delicious.
