  April 3, 2022 - I know that this one is atleast 5 years too young still. Even nebbiolos of the Barbaresco variety should not be had this early. Still wanted to try it out to see how many I should buy. A solid typical Barbaresco still in its fruity stage and nebbiolo is not in its prime at that stage given that the fruit is understated and the other dimensions are not present yet. Even then, it is pleasant also in its youth. Nice body, good acidicity, noticeable tannins and a very long after tast. Some more complex dimensions are barely detectable. Still a delight and should go up to 93-94 with cellaring. Oh, and as a bonus my parents are friends with Carlo Boffa himself. Gonna buy 6 or 12 of these for cellaring. EDIT: after a few hours, the fruit actually came to life. Yes, it's there. Youthful tasty fruit. Raspberry, strawberry, not tart at all. Lovely!
