April 13, 2023 - Reductive, chablis-like style. M+ acid, green apple, pear, lemon curd, sour apple, quince, orange peel, a touch of ripeness and oak on the end lend balance and add texture. I'm not sure I could call this new world blind.. incredible wine, good density, needs at least 3 more years to unwind.

December 27, 2021 - I was a little confounded by this; the color was notably dark for such a young wine and the nose seemed quite oxidative; the fruit seemed bruised and nutty; I didn't notice this on the palate which has lovely orchard fruits and good energy. I held most of the bottle to revisit tomorrow and see what has happened to the nose.

December 9, 2021 - The foundation of this wine is dense with big flavors that are all coiled-up like a tight spring in need of significant cellaring to unwind. Right up front, you notice lots of acidity on the palate along with flavors of green apple that I sometimes associate with Champagnes. In addition, an iron/mineral element coats your mouth pretty much from start to finish. I also notice an omnipresent bitter lemon/almond component - which is a good thing. There is also a wonderful lemon/Meyer lemon core and a mercurial touch of pink grapefruit that mysteriously appears here-and-there in the mouth. Further, a fleeting touch of passion fruit and/or apple peel are noted on the finish, which could be idiosyncratic to my palate, but otherwise, adds complexity; these touches could morph into something equally as interesting with time. Lastly, spice in noticeable especially toward the finish. All of these flavors will integrate very nicely over time and no doubt produce a beautiful wine. Decant if you have to drink this tight wine right now; otherwise, cellar for five years from now to experience the richness in the bottle and enjoy until 2029 perhaps 2031. BTW, a 2010 opened on 8/8/21 was excellent.

November 15, 2021 - Nascent. This is beyond infanticide (abortion?). The wine is so energetic, aggressive and bombastic- it's really lost on itself, but it's great. After a day of being open do I get pithy lemon, mineral, kefir lime leaves, some almond paste, with some atomic warhead candy acidity. This doesn't need "a bit of time" this needs years (more so than I've seen in the past 5-6 vintages of Cameron). So intense, vibrant, and young.

    I love it.
