October 23, 2022 - Deep ruby colored with a touch of staining on the walls and slow moving legs (14.5% ABV). The nose has pronounced aromas of cassis, menthol, blackberry, blueberry coulis, chocolate dust, açaí berry and some baking spice- very complex but primal in nature. The palate is dry with medium (-) acidity and really grippy medium (+) tannins that are very fine-grained. Full bodied, this wine coats my mouth with cassis, blackberry, açaí, blueberry jam and some hints of oak. The finish is long with a slightly bitter vein. I like this wine- it screams Cali sunshine in it's ripeness and fullness. 91 points for this $56 effort makes it a 4 star wine. I'm pairing it with roasted Sirloin Cap and a mushroom gravy. Drink this relatively cellar-worthy wine till 2028.

July 5, 2022 - The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, raspberry and bready. It tastes like blackberry, molasses and alcohol/hot. The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

November 8, 2020 - A bit perfumed, big and intense, framed by some acidity on the finish. This has a lot of stature, still feels a bit young. Promising.

March 21, 2020 - What can I say? It's Cabernet Sauvignon, made in one of my favorite years for wine, by an excellent maker.

March 6, 2020 - Deep red-purple in color. Decanted for 90 minutes. Extracted flavors of ripe dark berries and cassis. Good amount of oak and a touch of vanilla in the end with very subtle spice undertones. Gentle acidity and firm tannin. Full-bodied and balanced.

February 2, 2020 - Opened yesterday. Right from the get go this was a pleasant surprise. Big and ripe but restrained nicely. Has structure to go with its huge flavor profile. Plums and black fruits in both nose and mouth. This was open last night and tasted great then. Tastes just as good today, with no sign of decline after sitting open on the counter overnight. Good wine to start off the Super Bowl with. I’ve never heard of this winery, but seems like it’s one to keep an eye on. Lovely. 4-13-17-8: 92/100.
