    March 9, 2016 - Beautiful nose of sweet spearmint and black fruit and earth. Seamless in the mouth with soft tannins, blackberry, mocha, and cigar smoke. The finish is long. One of the best Napa cabernets I have had in quite awhile.

    February 7, 2010 - decanted 3 plus hours. Wasn't the fruit bomb I was expecting. Rather eloquent. Nose was a bit of menthol and berry. The wine was restrained in the mid-palate. I was expecting more fruit forwardness but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. Went very well with the rib eye we shish Kobab we had. Finish was moderate and pleasant. Not a blockbuster wow wine, but it was pleasant and I look forward to drinking more down the road.

    August 6, 2009 - nice color, nice nose, mid palate not too inspiring. I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting more. Not much complexity, no secondariesl. Maybe in a few years it will come around.

    May 17, 2008 - Extreme CULT Cabernet (Sam & Harry's Restaurant @ Newport Beach Marriott sponsored by LearnAboutWine): thick and inky. strawberries, coffee/mocha, berries, pepper, ripe plum, cherry, cassis, cocoa, vanilla, oak, a bit of alcohol, and notes of damp earth. great balance and mouthfeel.
