    February 9, 2024 - Harmonious nose with earthy notes, black fruits, faded rose and spices.

    On the palate, the freshness of the wine is striking. The juice is lively with a frank attack, the juice is loose, unfolding aromas of black fruits and undergrowth. Beautiful balance with a lively acidity which stretches a dense wine. Second half of the palate on rose and sweet spices. Beautiful spicy finish with a delicate and appreciable length on faded rose.

    Very beautiful Barolo, far from being in decline.

    November 19, 2020 - 1990 Barolo dinner (Lafiandra, Singapore): Delicious stuff. Third time round with this bottle - this was a nice showing. It had a classic Barolo nose, with notes of black cherries and dark berries soaked with bits of smoky tar and spice, earth and meat, and just a little curl of rose petals at the side. The palate was in lovely form, with a remnant of firm tannins and still bright acidity framing a lovely, clear, strong mouthful of dark red cherries and berries laced with nice wafts of spice and a hint of rose petals lingering into the finish. Drinking very nicely tonight.

    March 8, 2019 - Lovely old school Barolo. Drinking very well. Dark fruits, earth, meat, and spices.

    October 24, 2017 - Dinner at Lucky Cantonese Private Dining: Not quite as good as the last bottle, but this was not bad still. The nose was a nice melange of earth, flowers, menthol herbs and red berry fruits. The palate had a real savoury funk - almost chicken stew like, along with an earthy, herby twang, and then a touch of dried red fruit at the finish, all in a salty, preserved plummish note. Yummy, but just a touch too funky.

    July 26, 2016 - Stenhand i en silkesvante. Ljuv doft med bär, blommor och choklad men allt det goda fluffet är draperat över en stram tanninstruktur. Bra grejer.

    Doft: Frukt - röda bär - körsbär, smultron. Blommor - aning viol. Mineral - liten stenighet. Fat - mjölkchoklad, vanilj.
    Utveckling: Väl moget.

    Torrt/sött: Torrt.
    Syra: Medel –.
    Tanniner: Finkorniga men påtagliga
    Alkohol: Kan anas (14 procent).
    Fyllighet: Medel.
    Smakstyrka: Medel.
    Smak: Frukt - röda bär - körsbär, smultron, jordgubbar. Fat - ljus choklad
    Textur/balans/bubblighet: Nej.
    Eftersmak: Rätt lång med mycket fatighet.

    SLUTSATSER
    Kvalitet: Mycket bra.
    Drickabilitet: Moget, ska nog inte sparas många år till.
    Geografi: Piemonte.
    Pris: 1 500 kronor.

    April 18, 2016 - Super funky nose, sensational length, ethereal yet intense, still dry and tannic on finish. Really lovely, old school, mature Barolo with nuance and verve.
