October 1, 2023 - Perfect cork, no saturation. Still reasonably bright and fresh to start. Black fruits with good density from start-to-finish with some faint oaky spice notes that are largely integrated and tasty. Held up well for 2+ hours.
July 4, 2023 - Actually wasn't too bad for it's age, but heavy on the smoke notes.
June 28, 2017 - Deep color, big fruit, dense feel on the palate, great window to be drinking now.
February 6, 2017 - Deep dark color, cherry cola, barnyard, northern US feel on the palate.
September 11, 2016 - Beautiful wine
May 21, 2016 - Cedar and blueberry pie spice notes erupt from the glass. Almost full bodied and rich with an acid spine. Still feels tight, still tastes of heavy toast. Juicy red fruits transition into baking spices and herbal notes on the strong and tannic finish. Drank over 3 hours without much evolution. Hold.
April 30, 2016 - Still drinking amazing
December 20, 2013 - Hard to imagine that a single additional year of cellar time made such a BIG difference, but it did. The heat and oak have settled and the fruit and "earthy" complexity come through nicely in the nose and finish. Still doesn't compare to the '02 '06 and '08 vintages...
October 23, 2013 - Drinking well. Body, fruit and acid are waning, and it probably won't benefit than much from further aging.
May 25, 2013 - I think this could benefit from at least another 2 years to come together a little bit. A lot of chocolate and sweet red fruit, finish seemed a little "hot." Wish I had another bottle to see how this develops, I think there's some good potential just not great right now
