June 15, 2022 - A mature madame with both volatile acidity on the nose and oxidative notes on the palate. A wine for us who appreciates maturity.
A beautiful CdP that has matured towards the herbal spectrum rather than the raspberry-grenache spectrum that is ... trite.

    At Alte Liebe.

December 27, 2020 - Definitely not over the hill, but perhaps a tiny bit past its peak. Solid cork, fair amount of sediment. Tannins resolved. Youthful fruit, no brown ring, but a bit thinner than I remember from earlier bottles. I have 2 left and will probably open them over the next year or so.

December 20, 2020 - Still has fruit component, but has all gone tertiary. Green, vegetal notes fill the glass. Cocoa, stewed cranberries, dried strawberry, dried rose petal. Alcohol is high and acid is still intact, providing a freshness to the aftertaste. Drink up, wine is on the way out.

December 26, 2018 - This is still drinking pretty well. Some nice red fruits, cherry with hints of raspberry. Some nice acidity with a slightly crunchy finish. I am pretty pleased with this. There is a slight bitterness in the finish. Hoping it will blow off, in which case I might raise this from an 88.

April 14, 2018 - This is fine. Definitely hits its stride, such as it is, after 30-40 minutes in the glass. But unlike the last bottle, this is pretty subdued. Pleasant enough, but a bit one dimensional. When you think that a wine is nice because there is no bitterness or pruney flavors, you know you are reaching. Still enjoyable, but not anything worth crowing about.
