November 30, 2018 - A good wine friend's 50th birthday. (@ PCr): Concentrated and full bodied. Complex, caramel, a bit fat and beautiful acidity. Great wine with a great length.

September 5, 2018 - Rhone Admissions (Vaucluse): The white wine that made me realize that whites can be as interesting and complex as reds and so I'll always have a special place in my heart for it. It's a beautiful wine today and an interesting comparison point to the Grillet. Both have a nice honey note to them. This is more of a mouthful, and yet doesn't feel heavy. I think it's because the viscosity of the wine hits you earlier in the palate and so it mostly just leads to a long finish. Hint of floral. There's this depth to the wine where it makes you want to pull back the layers. A real beauty and showing well tonight.

July 14, 2018 - Q3 - 2018 Tasting - Whites - “ABC” Anything but Chardonnay (New York, NY): 11/18 white wines tasted double blind. The nose smells like freshly mown grass. The palate is quite complex and intriguing with some drying tannins resulting in a really long finish, honey, stone fruits, herbs and minerals - lots of layered flavors. I love this - my favorite of the tasting. Again not surprising as this wine is always pleasing to me across vintages.

July 14, 2018 - Anything But (still) Chardonnay - ABC wines | Q3 Wine Club (The Apt): Wine #11: The clear winner of the tasting. This was much more herbal in nature than it's little brother. Good character. Some almost green notes, but they were well balanced and not overdone. Right at the end I got a nice white pepper finish. Enjoyable wine. (12 pennies)
