    March 15, 2020 - The Last Supper (Before the Covid-19 Shutdown) (El Ideas): From magnum. Gorgeous nose that was so layered and complex with smoky orchard fruit, spice and minerals. Palate however was not as compelling. Still fresh but this was simple and light weight in the mouth and i wanted so much more based on the nose.

    March 15, 2020 - Brilliant color for its age and a Wonderful format, magnum. Decanted at 3pm and developed and evolved over the course of the dinner. It not hit its stride till a couple of hours later. Oh my. Tasty.

    March 15, 2020 - Last Wine Dinner Before the Coronavirus Shutdown (EL Ideas - Chicago IL): From magnum. Clearly ripe with good Grand Cru concentration, with enough freshness to remain interesting at this age. Earth, stone fruit and spice all work well together, but this started losing steam the longer it stayed in glass.

    July 6, 2019 - From a good looking bottle with a 2 cm fill, this wine had a light gold center with clear rims. The nose evolved over 4 hours in a decanter. It was a bit more cinnamon at first but actually became fresher with air. Toward the end it displayed lemon, green apple, white stone, and almond paste.

    In the mouth, this bottle was profound. It had great richness, refinement, balance, flavor, and awesome length. It was a 90 point wine out of the gate and slowly ramped up after several hours of aeration. Broadbent said this was the best vintage of L.L. Corton Charlie and it is hard to argue.

    While this is 100% ready, this wine should hold at this level for at least 5 years. There was no hesitation about this bottle. It was a solid 95 point wine at the 3-4 hour mark. After 5-6 hours of air it started going down hill. Drink this outstanding wine up!

    December 7, 2018 - 外观偏金黄色且略有浑浊,但在明显的氧化酱油味之外,依然有热带水果的完整果香,以及八角、太妃糖、焦糖和满口的杏仁味。接近三十年光阴的洗礼没有抹去浓郁的桶味,不过因为酸度漂亮,酒的平衡并没有被打破。现在喝依然出色。

    August 31, 2018 - wine is not over the hill but there is zero reason to wait on this if you still have any bottles. The wine has great balance but I STRONGLY recommend you decant this and drink this slowly over many hours, the nose and flavors will eventually evolve into this caramel drizzled creme brulee which is just sublime
