January 14, 2017 - Nose has become a bit muted, though does have some nice earth tones. On the palate is balanced with some mild spice and soft fruit, but also some acidity on the back end. Will have to pull my other two bottles out of storage soon to be consumed as it is on the decline.

November 20, 2016 - Learned too late of the optimal consumption period. Finish was acid and just a little bitter.

January 28, 2015 - Initial nose of blueberry. Fades a bit to reveal notes of leather, tobacco and other fruit. A bit of cassia and cedar. Still drinking well.

October 21, 2013 - This has only gotten better with time. Still quite a lot of fruit on the palate, and fully integrated tannins. Can still easily continue to age for a few more years though probably won't change a whole lot. Ty's wines tend to hold their bold fruit flavors.

October 18, 2013 - Damn, I wish I had more of this. :-) Luscious, rich, smoky, spicy, meaty ... just a massive wine, each sip is better than the last.

October 13, 2013 - Decanted 30-45min. Do not rush to drink this one. The fruit is still lush and powerful. Dark crimson in the glass. We didn't pay too close attention as far as notes go. Good earthy tones as well. Too bad we didn't stock up during the recession. Newer releases are selling for over 2x as much.

May 24, 2013 - Ready to drink. Decanted, but drinkable immediately. Wonderful dark fruits, tobacco and leather. Nice bit of tobacco and a hint of chocolate on a good finish.

December 24, 2011 - Decanted for 1.5 to 2 hours. Deep color. Dark fruit and cocoa on the nose, with some pepper. Dark fruits with smooth tannins. Cabernet and Petite Sirah come through with nice support from the others in the blend. Great finish. Still got some time left on this for sure.
