May 24, 2024 - Magnifique chardonnay américain avec un superbe équilibre entre fruit, bois et acidité . Prochaine bouteille dans 1-2 an.

December 3, 2023 - Aromas of oak, flowers, vanilla and baking spice greet the nose. White peach, tangerine, and apple pie notes flow across the palate to a full, long finish. This is rich, medium-full bodied, with crisp, bracing acidity. Delicious! This is a wonderful wine.

November 18, 2023 - Winferno in Umeå (Stöcksjö, Umeå): 2nd wine of the flight with 3/9 votes.
    Light yellow.
Restrained and beautiful Chard with a really beautiful barrel treatment.
In the mouth, this is fabulously refined, mild and restrained with a beautiful citrus aroma profile. Acidity is perfect! Long but unnecessarily young.

I swallowed the bait and guessed 2019 Bgn. Hah :-)

October 27, 2023 - My first Ramey Rochioli, but hopefully not my last. Exquisitely good, probably a touch better with another year in bottle (but glad I didn't wait).

July 10, 2023 - Superb depth of flavor and concentration. Oak is present right now but I think it’ll get digested with a few more years in bottle. I don’t mind it for now as the fruit is turned up to 11. Lots of spice and buttery goodness.

All of Dave’s wines have great balance and this is no exception. I eagerly await its evolution.

June 27, 2023 - A perfectly balanced California chardonnay of substantive power and elegance. Better now than a year ago--less fat, more structure. Outstanding.

May 22, 2023 - Pale yellow. Dave Ramey is a master of Chardonnay on the same level as John Kongsgaard, Jean-Marc Roulot and perhaps Jean-François Coche. Here he has crafted an exceptionally pretty, elegant and deep California Chardonnay. On the nose this brims with aromas of just ripe pineapple, yellow apples, orange confit, lemon, gardenias, fromage blanc, crushed river rocks and oak spice. Medium to full bodied on the palate, this seems quite rich for a moment, but then its acidity and a touch of dry extract kick in, which emphasize the reductive mineral flavors and deftly balances its sweet, citrusy fruit notes. This should age well but it is incredibly good right now.

January 7, 2023 - Pale yellow. None of the reduction or crystals that plagued our last bottle of this. Also, virtually none of the things I just read about in other CT reviews: it's not "powerful" or "tropical", there are no apricots and it's not overtly "ripe". It's full of mellow white and yellow fruits and the texture is creamy; overall it's very elegant for California chardonnay.
