Augen: dunklrot, hellbraun am Rand, leichte Visikosität
Nase: 2+ Intensität, süsse Nase, Lebkuchen, zimt, vani, neues holz, leicht schwarzpfeffer/ mehr frucht als 2011
Gaumen: trocken/lebendige Säure/würzig, dunkel wilde Beeren, Johannisbeeren,bitter, thuốc bắc, getrocknete Tabak, schwarztee, balsamisch/ 2 Body/ alk gut gebunden/ geschliffene Tannin/ langer Abgang
Fazit: für die Gran Reserva, kleines Geld, rund, bereit getrunken zu werden, süßer als Bordeaux
February 3, 2024 - this was cool, really opened up after being open for an hour. lots of red fruit and spices and a tiny bit of anise

February 3, 2023 - Staring to lose its fruitiness but not too bad for a 12 yo wine. Still balanced but I’d say a bit more acidic. Great mid cellar defender.
October 11, 2022 - Trofelia Tasting (Oinoscent): Termpanillo 24 months in oak, 36 months in bottle
In the nose, the wine shows medium to high intensity, fill on spice, old school, decadent, ripe fruit, cherries, berries, currants, sous bois, sweet spice
Palate shows the same fruit profile, sweet spices again, medium body, vegetal bitter finish, medium tannins, medium finish
June 6, 2022 - Me stupid. I thought, that if wine is Gran Reserva, that it is 11 year old, that it is from Rioja, then it must be fantastic juice. I forgot about the price. You see low "bill" then you don't want to remember anything else. Here we go again. What can I say: no complain here, everything is done by book, but this wine is do boring like a ... orange juice (?)
And after 11 years its tannins and acidity are still strong. Other then that, it is very drinkable with black berry, black currant and red cherry.
Smell is about the same like taste.
End of story.
