March 28, 2024 - I like 2020 but for me I would much rather pay the same price for Samuel Billaud’s Chablis which has more minerality and character
March 3, 2024 - Lemon, green apple and some stone, fairly full, and tight and sturdy. Young, but enjoyable.
December 4, 2023 - Nice balance of citrus and minerality. Excellent with appetizers.
December 2, 2023 - Simple and tasty, with notes of Jonathan apple, lemon, and wet stone commingling throughout. A bit riper than expected, with fleeting acidity. more of a crowd pleaser.
November 10, 2023 - Light golden in color. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of lemons/limes, grapefruit & pears with mineral/flinty overtones, some floral notes & chalky/stony. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe citrus flavors of lemons/limes, grapefruit & green apples, chalky, stony & minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present but has potential for further development with additional aging.
October 18, 2023 - From that piece of land the expectation is usually very high - frankly, this wine is still far from that. Both nose and mouth are not aligned with what Chardonnay should pull out. Not sure if waiting few years the situation may improve.
September 30, 2023 - Citrus, apple, lemon peel, iodine. Still young.
September 29, 2023 - Svelte, mineral and citrusy. Opens up quite a bit with some air, maintaining its classy demeanor.
August 19, 2023 - As someone who has had a lot of Chablis I can confidently say this wine gets low balled because it doesn’t have a church on the label and a yellow wax top. This wine is absolutely electric. So much tension and power for a village level Chablis. Pure and focused… Wow.
July 3, 2023 - Pulled the cork 45 minutes before dinner of pasta carbonara. Initially tart, lemon, pear, apple and big citrus flavors. Drank over the next 90 minutes. Became more complex with less tart citrus notes at the end. Will decant my next bottle an hour. Potential here.
