July 20, 2018 - In a drinking window. Time to check out other Forey 05s.

    Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.

November 21, 2009 - 13.0% alcohol. Opened overnight, and it needed the air. This is youthful and delightful, and it will develop into an absolutely terrific wine with more age. Bright cherry color. Tremendous but tight bouquet of red cherry, earth, minerals, and flowers. Very well concentrated on the palate, still youthfully brawny, but with terrific texture. Loaded with fruit and balanced nicely with complexity. Strong acidity and a fair bit of ripe tannin on the finish. Real value here. A-

April 10, 2008 - High acid, light bodied with some dark, flat fruit. Ok.

February 22, 2008 - Quite a disappointing bottle, and very un-Rosenthal like. nothing elegant about this, nothing graceful. stemmy and almost green like and 04. there is a nice red fruit perfume, but the wine doesn't feel balanced at all. its the same price as a good cru beaujolais and i daresay that one of those would ahve been better.

January 6, 2008 - Firm and vinous, dark colour and ditto fruit but seems rather dry with unripe tannins, length seems okay. Hard to judge - really should be better than this.
