September 26, 2022 - Wines of the Camino de Santiago; 9/13/2022-10/19/2022 (Northern Spain): The nose has a restrained power that is backed up with good depth and balance, showing off tones of black cherries, smoke, black fruits, raspberries, licorice, sweet tobacco, crushed rocks, bramble berries, blackberries, violets, and some herbs. Even at this young age, this is showing a lot of complexity and is fairly open after about 30 minutes. The Full bodied feel is balanced with a real robust quality along with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. This is really good already and has plenty in the tank to gain with some age.
