April 29, 2015 - HK Wine Society Tasting & Dinner: Mature Brunello, 1975-1998 (Langham Palace Hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong): Tasted blind in a line-up of 12. Translucent purple-red colour and clearly one of the youngsters. Nose of nail varnish, light and almost dilute, reticent. Palate is similarly light, dilute and feminine with raspberry fruits and a dry tannic finish of raspberry pips. Very mouth-drying on the finale although with some resonance. Too young.

November 3, 2011 - Good, not great. Nice nose of spices and cherry. Pretty balanced wine at this time, seems to be about at it's peak.

November 6, 2007 - This bottle was nothing like the bottle drunk at the Philly Brunello OL. Glorious nose of allspice, red cherries and licorice. Actually, the nose was soaring; singing BdM. The wine was dark garnet with no bricking. On the palate the tart cherries shown through and the tannins were fully integrated. The only thing keeping the score at a 92 was the finish was a little "drying". This wine was shared with another Brunellophile and we both were very pleasantly surprised. IMO, this bottle was better than anything tasted in Philly. I guess WIML and Rhone Warrior were right about the Philly bottle being corked.

October 1, 2007 - Bright ruby red color. This bottle was just popped and opened and was great right out of the gate.

    April 14, 2007 - 1995 Brunello Offline (Pumpkin in Philadelphia, PA): WIMLNR,WA89,WS90

Tasted April 14, 2007 at an offline. Light garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose was slightly corky (Rhone Warrior and myself were one of the few at the table that thought so as best I recall). However, there was much debate as to whether it was TCA or perhaps 4-ethyl phenol Brettanomyces. Nose was definitely muted. Maybe some anise hiding behind there? Tried a sip anyway. Muted palate with perhaps some simple red berries. No rating for obvious reasons.
