October 7, 2022 - Not as good as the first bottle half a year ago. Easy drinking Barbera.

July 28, 2022 - Definitely on the very fresh side of barbera, which is in keeping with the style of Lalu’s Nebbiolo. High acid, a little bit of angular tannins that will probably quickly melt away when given a year or two. Red cherry, blackberry, violet, a bit of mint, stony minerality and some herbs. I can also appreciate a more creamy or a more rustic barbera, but this style has its place as well, where clean, fresh and acidic are the main characteristics.

February 6, 2022 - The Barbera d'Alba 2020 has made a big leap since it's release and is all enchanting in a young way, presenting a terrific equilibrium. The dominant sappy cherry fruit is completed by violets, plum, Szechuan pepper, some leather and a light smoky-mentholated undertone, which keeps up the freshness and verve. Herbal aromas join in on the mid palate and finish. This is a really beautiful balanced, fleshy and silky Barbera with an embracing acidity.

January 18, 2022 - A textbook Barbera for my palate. Lush fruits in an elegant body that’s not as ripe as a lot of other Barberas. In fact it really it’s focused and kept a good amount of freshness that I adore.
