March 24, 2023 - A hidden jem lying neglected in the in-laws wine cellar. I suspected that it would be past it’s prime for my palate, but decided to pop this to sample before heading out to a French BYO in La Jolla. Surprisingly fruit forward, black and red fruited, cassis and wild flowers in the nose. Mildly prune like on the finish. My wife thought it finished abruptly, and a little medicinal, so we left it home, and brought a younger Venge wine. Two hours later it had not changed much. There is very little in terms of tertiary development with these modern style Napa cabs, in my limited experience. Still quite drinkable, and better than other 2004s I opened this week

January 2, 2019 - Boring, overblown fruit bomb. Limited acidity/tanin results in overwhelming black fruit sweetness, teetering on the edge of flabby. Finishes hot (14.9%). If you like Parker cocktail wines, you may enjoy it, everyone else should avoid.

November 11, 2018 - fantastic new world cab. concentrated flavors with lush mouthfeel. tons of dark black and blue fruit. Light acidity help balance things out. Very well made and holding up beautifully. easily goes another 5 years

November 10, 2011 - AVTG does Cabernet blind (Chenoa's house): Tasted blind. Spicy aromatics of dark fruit, plum and currant. Very sweet on the entry, almost sugary, with waves of opulent black currant and cherry fruit. Finishes with a slightly herbacous note, and noticeable - yet pleasantly integrated - smoky oak. Very good. My #4, Group #2 WOTN. Note - this wine really picked up steam as the night wore on, and if we had voted an hour later than we did, this would have been my #1. Drink with 2 or so hours of air.

September 13, 2011 - Clear dark ruby red in colour. Clean nose of cassis, black cherry, and cedar. Dry, med acidity, smooth strong tannins, full body, cassis, black cherry, dark chocolate, and some smoke on plate. Nice long finish. Great wine.
