July 28, 2023 - Queen of Meursault indeed. So well balanced, fresh and elegant almost 20 years since bottling. Reminds me of an outstanding Corton Charlemagne
November 20, 2022 - Beautiful and complex bouquet with caramel and well integrated oak. On the palate white and yellow fruits, butter, vanilla, full bodied and enormously concentrated, extremely beautiful and a great length.

September 27, 2022 - A private dinner (Restaurant d'Oude Schuur, Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium): Tasted blind. Elegance and gentle evolution, fully mature and perfectly fresh, white pepper, traditional style, honeyed and rounded, power and weight balanced by firm acidity, real drive and length.
May 24, 2021 - Perfect provenance ex-restaurant. Earliest picked chez Lafon, not overripe at all, creamy popcorn richness backed up by superb acidity. On the palate it is huge, monstrous weight in multi-dimensions, but not too rich, just in the zone. One of the best Lafon MP tasted. 95-96
December 20, 2020 - Last of 6, pnp, cork spongey at bottom, perfect level, lighter than previous 2 bottles, incipient POX but not to the extent that the wine was undrinkable or even unpleasant, indeed very fine underlying depth of flavour with some youthful wax, first glass the best, seemed to oxidise immediately with contact with air, last glass the worst.......probably best to send back to Lafon and get a refund as too many of these wines from late 90s onwards are not of merchantable quality!!!!! VG (16) first glass!
November 21, 2020 - 5th of 6 and undrinkably POXED........a disgrace for a Lafon Perrieres at less than 14 years when its best days should be ahead!!!
August 20, 2020 - 4th of 6, opened 30 minutes, apparently perfect cork and level, even darker than last bottle, drinkable but POXy flavours now intrusive, as so often the case with white Burg moved from barely ready to POXed in less than a year, drink up! QG (14).
July 23, 2020 - 3rd of 6, opened 30 minutes, spongey half travelled cork, perfect level, heightened colour, more vanilla, less balancing citrus zest and zip, broader and flabbier flavours, than a year ago, sense of ageing rapidly in this bottle, drink. F+ (18).
May 30, 2020 - Lys farge ved åpning, gylden gul etter å ha vært luftet på karaffel i en halvtime-time. Moden nese. Ganske old-school Meursault. Moden frukt, smør, gule blomster, hvit pepper, fat. Harmonisk i munn. Moden, myk og saftig frukt. Konsentrert. Mangler ikke syre, men den er ganske avrundet og snill. Drikker perfekt nå. Om denne ideelt sett kunne vært enda mer transparent på duft og livlig i munn, må det sies at den er utrolig imponerende for årgangen.
