November 11, 2023 - This is a rather unusual wine. For me the key is to give it maybe 15 minutes of air - initially the balance is not good with some in-your-face bitterness that needs a little time to burn off.
Then the nose is slightly sweet apricots, but also a touch of alcohol heat.
On the palate there's unripe peaches, quite mouth-filling, barely any acidity, and a quite long finish where sometimes I feel the alcohol heat detracts with a little bitterness.
But it pairs OK with some spicy Asian food, I can see myself getting some of these occasionally at ~US$15.
August 6, 2023 - Pale gold colour. Fragrant, with apricot compote and hazelnuts. Quite complex, with stone fruits and more nuts and a just off-dry tangy pink grapefruit finish.
May 19, 2023 - Curious flavor profile, at least for one unfamiliar with the grapes.
Slightly sweet, somewhat viscous, with orange and bitter orange notes. Fascinating nose and at first taste, but the acidity seemed at odds with the syrupy consistency of the wine, or perhaps it was the 14% alcohol that left me a bit queasy. Though a good compliment to salmon roasted/ baked with orange slices, I could only drink a small glass, and as I write, wished I had drunk less.

October 29, 2022 - Pomelo and some grasses in the bouquet and on the palate. Light bodied and fresh with good acidity. Pleasant wine.
January 19, 2022 - Medium yellow. Moderately intense aromas of lemon peel and neutral wood? Dry, with elevated acidity and phenolic grip. Somewhat oily texture, full-bodied, 14°. Some bitterness with the grip. Gros Manseng and Lauzet, the latter almost extinct. VdF from around Jurançon.
December 11, 2021 - Very nice as apéritif and with dinner (Asian good)
